Billet Casting Machine

Billet casting machine is of Concast India make to produce squares of 100x100, 120x120, 130x130 & 150x150 Billets. Machine is equipped with latest technology of Linz Austria of continuous continues straightening within the radius of 6 Mtr to ensure the less stresses and uniform quality of billets. Other features of caster are:-
  • Facilities to cast billets open as well as close casting depend upon the grades of billets.
  • Cascade mould jackets with 900 mm mould and provisions for AMLC as well as electromagnetic stirrer.
  • Electromechanical Short Lever oscillation system to reduce and uniform oscillation marks.
  • Reaction rollers, withdrawal & straightener rollers for low strain stress at billets.

Alloy steel is steel that is alloyed with a variety of elements in total amounts between 1.0% and 50% by weight to improve its mechanical properties. In Alloy Steel; Grade depends upon its final application different types of alloying elements are added to improve its physical properties. The percentage of alloying elements may vary from 0.02% to 1% in case of low alloy steel grade. And from 1 % to 20% in case of high alloy steel. This steel is used to manufacture various parts for Automobile Industry, Railways, Defense Equipment, Engineering Industry, Forging, Bearings etc. The Modern Steel product range covers billets of sections 100x100 mm, 120x120 mm, 130x130 mm and 150 x 150 mm; each section having length 4 m to 12 m as required by the customer. The grade of alloy steel is medium carbon low alloy.

Mild steel, iron containing a small percentage of carbon, strong and tough but not readily tempered. Mild steel contains approximately 0.05–0.25% carbon making it malleable and ductile. This steel is mainly used to manufacture structural steel such an angles, channels, beams, rounds, flats etc. and re-bars used in concrete buildings and bridges. The Modern Steel product range covers billets of sections 100x100 mm, 120x120 mm, 130x130 mm and 150 x 150 mm; each section having length 4 m to 12 m as required by the customer of grades 40, 50, 60, BS 4449, 3SP, 4SP, 5SP, ASTM A572, ASTM A 1011/A, ASTM A 615, ASTM A105, ASTM A105, S-275 JR, JIS SS 400 etc.
